The Archipelago Museum’s base on Nämdö in Sand
Housed in the old school in Sand at Nämdö, the Archipelago Museum is open daily from the first Saturday after midsummer to the first Sunday of August. To get here take a Waxholmsbolaget’s boat to the dock at Sand on the island of Nämdö. You can also take your own boat and leave it at the guest jetty at Sand.
We have Exhibitions, a shop and a cafe
Each year special exhibitions are set up with archipelago-related themes and sometimes even art. There is also a museum shop with gift items, books and reproductions of old sea charts.
In the shop you can also buy something to drink, coffee and ice cream that can be enjoyed in the garden where there is also a plant show!
Events and guided tours
Special events are announced on our website and in the local newspapers.
Groups can book guided tours during the summer season. We also collaborate with Djurö, Möja and Nämdö parish to organize tours of Nämdö’s church. Booking can be done by phone at 070-768 40 39.
