We offer both Hotel and Hostel accommodation so that you can choose the best option that suits you!

Our facilities consist of two accommodation buildings and a shared hall. In the accommodation you will find 26 guest rooms with space for 60 guests divided into mainly double rooms with private entrance and toilet. Half of the rooms have their own shower. These are the rooms we have chosen to call the Archipelago Hotel as they are hotel standard in the rooms, bedded beds, cleaning and breakfast buffet. In the rooms we call Hostel rooms you can rent linen, book a buffet breakfast and takeaway.

In the shared hall there is a communal dining room, guest kitchen, toilets, showers, group room and reception.

Keep an eye out for our events all year round. We arrange experiences including food, wine & music and Christmas buffet.

About Svartsö

Svartsö is located in the middle of Stockholm’s archipelago and is one of the larger islands in the area. In total, the island is about 10km long and 2.5 km wide. [/ Vc_column_text]

How do I get to Svartsö

Svartsö is reachable all year round. At Svartsö there are 4 jettys for passenger boats. Svartsö Skärgårdshotell & Vandrarhem is 100 meters from the Norra Svartsö jetty, 5km from Ahlsvik, 3 km. from Skälvik and 7 km. from Söderboudd. Throughout the summer it takes 1.5-2 hours by passenger boat from Stockholm to Svartsö. By boat from Värmdö it takes about 40 minutes and from Ljusterö it takes only 20 minutes. We have 65 residents on Svartsö, but in summer this number increases to about 1000 people. There are also many day tourists on the island, so the island varies greatly between the summer and winter months.
